Description
Cherry Blossom tree in Macon, Georgia.
----------
When I drove up to Macon, Georgia to photograph the cherry blossoms, the weather was terrible. I only had one and one half days to be there. It was windy and mostly over cast. I was driving down the street to the park and came across this scene. I was so excited, I parked the car and ran to get this shot. After a few shots, I realized I left the car running and my purse on the front seat. So thankful that nothing happened.
----------
A cherry blossom is the flower of any of several trees of genus Prunus, particularly the Japanese Cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is sometimes called sakura. In Japan, cherry blossoms also symbolize clouds due to their nature of blooming en masse, besides being an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life.
----------
Through her innovative fine art photography, Kim is able to enhance the world as she sees it, creating memorable and unique images. She is endlessly inspired by the nature around her and is especially influenced by flowers, scenery, and wildlife.
